Information about the musicians of episode 1
Sarina Kay knew she wanted to be a singer from the age of 4. She participated in talent shows from time to time, but wanted to finish school, before seriously plunging herself into music.
At 18 years old, Sarina took her first step professionally as a backing vocalist for Rob de Nijs.
After this tour Sarina performed in several bands, playing with numerous Dutch and international artists and made impressive trips to countries like Oman, Switzerland and Kenya.
Although it was never a specific ambition, Sarina’s voice can be heard on several dance tracks amongst others played by famous DJ Tiësto.
In 2010 she also participated in the Dutch X Factor. Sarina is currently mixing her first album, “Take on the world”.
Her style is a mix of Pop/Rock/Country/Westcoast, with a wide variety of topics.
JULIA VAN DE KETTERIJ-backing vocals
Julia van de Ketterij was raised in a very musical family. Her father was a guitarist and her mother a singer.
Julia performs as lead and backing vocalist including live shows, studiosessions, radio and televisionshows.
She worked with: Shirma Rouse, Alain Clark, Trijntje Oosterhuis, Ilse DeLange, DJ Hardwell, Gavin de Graw, Natalie Imbruglia, Maria Mena, Joe Jackson, Basement Jaxx and many others!
She’s also founding member of the very popular and in demand vocal group ‘The Pretty Vanillas’ (Night of the Proms)
One of Europe’s leading guitarplayers of the last decades!

SALLE DE JONGE -drums
Salle has been working professionally in the music industry for 10 years now.
Playing with : Roy Hargrove, Kurt Rosenwinkel, The Three Degrees, Till Brönner, Ronny Jordan and Bennie Maupin amongst others.
When Dutch (Jazz) Musicians are concerned he worked with: Benjamin Herman, Mathilde Santing, Bo Saris, Michiel Borstlap, Alain Clark, Edsilia Rombley, Loïs Lane a.o. Bands and Projects he’s involved in now are: Shirma Rouse, LeslieNielsen, The Fresh Cuts and he wrote, played and produced Sabrina Starke’s new album which has been released in september 2015.
Salle also worked with Grammy Award winning Producer/Engineer Russel Elevado (Erykah Badu, D’Angelo, Alicia Keys, Al Green) on singer iET’s latest record called ‘So Unreal’.
THOMAS BANK – keyboards
Thomas has worked with: Candy Dulfer, Dave Stewart, Angie Stone, Trijntje Oosterhuis, Leona, Shirma Rouse.
After working for a long time with Candy Dulfer as a creative partner, writing, producing and performing, Thomas is now a freelance musician for his own company: Souls United Music. Currently a keyboard player for Trijntje Oosterhuis and musical director for Je Veux Flaner.
JENS DREIJER – bass
Born in 1986 (Boxtel, the Netherlands), Jens Dreijer started studying Jazz at Rotterdam’s Conservatory in 2005.
He graduated at Tilburg’s Conservatory in 2010.
Jens has been playing, recording and /or writing for different Artists over the years.
At the moment he’s playing for: Glennis Grace- live-band / Gia Koka -Recording / Live and Krystl -Live / Writing
When asked how he decided to become a musician Kris answered:
‘The first time I walked out on the stage at my grammar school (age 6) and opened my mouth to sing, it was magic. I knew music would be my destiny.
So by the time I took to the stage for my graduation concert from the conservatory of Utrecht (NL), I realized that my six year old self really had it going on.
I still feel that way when thinking about my profession and what I get to do”
Right now Kris is going through life as a singer, producer and songwriter ,working mostly on a solo project that is due in 2016.
Besides his solo project he performs as a background vocalist for several (inter)national artists and also teaches at the ArtEZ conservatory (NL)

LO VAN GORP-backing vocals
Lo van Gorp is one of the best vocalist in the Netherlands- besides being a great sax player as well.
He worked with a stellar line up of artists such as:
Al Jarreau (Live CD 2012),Vince Mendoza,Roger Hodgson(Supertramp),Paul Carrack,Michael Kiwanuka,Laura Mvula,Chaka Khan,Oleta Adams,Raul Midon,Leon Ware,Giorgia,Zucchero,Marco Borsato. Lo is founding member of the poular Steely Dan ‘tribute’ band called The Royal Dutch Scam.
